Debotakhum: rafting through Bandarban's hidden gorge
How to reach Debotakhum from Roangchhari, what the bamboo raft ride feels like, the best season, and why a guide and life jacket are a must.
Three days around Bandarban town, hill viewpoints and a Nilgiri excursion. Base the trip in Bandarban town for viewpoint visits and a day along the Nilgiri road. One day follows the road toward Nilgiri, with time for the surrounding ridge landscape. The town-area stops give the first and final days a lighter pace. Religious-site visits, a Sangu boat ride and special meals are separate additions to the stay.

Per person, for the whole trip. The more of you travel together, the less each pays.
A simple route plan for this package, with the starting point, transfers, stay and key experiences kept together for each day.
Day 1
Travel to Bandarban on the confirmed transport. Check in and rest at your Bandarban town accommodation. Visit Nilachal and the Golden Temple for hill views and a quieter cultural stop.
Day 2
Follow the Chimbuk-area road toward Nilgiri’s ridge-top setting. Enjoy the viewpoints and a Shoilopropat stop along the route. Take a meal break between the hill stops. Keep the evening close to town; a Sangu boat ride is a paid extra.
Day 3
Visit Meghla or another town-area attraction before the departure journey. Return to Dhaka by the confirmed service.
Optional choices: Safe Sangu boat ride, authorised religious-site visit or an extra town night. Remote trekking routes are separate products.
Cooler, drier days favour hill-road journeys and viewpoint walks among Bandarban’s ridges.
Grip shoes, light long clothing, rain cover, sun protection, personal medicines, drinking water, ID and a small dry bag. Keep luggage light for station and local transfers.
Bangladeshi taka BDT. Keep a separate budget for personal spending and paid extras.
Bandarban departures and individual attractions operate under current district, security and visitor-access instructions. Hill-road closures, cloud cover and waterfall flow follow local weather and conditions. Winding roads, steps and uneven viewpoints require suitable walking ability; religious and community sites require respectful conduct.
