Sikkim from Bangladesh: Gangtok, high lakes and permits
Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake and North Sikkim from Bangladesh: why permits shape the plan, how to cope with the altitude and what warm clothes to pack.
A seven-day journey linking Gangtok’s monasteries with Darjeeling’s tea hills and railway heritage. Combine Gangtok and Darjeeling with one clear hotel change rather than moving base every day. The first part focuses on Sikkim’s town and mountain experiences, while the second leaves time for tea hills, Ghum and an extra railway ride. Extra North Sikkim stops are not hidden inside the seven-day count.
Starting fromBDT 46,800Per person

Per person, for the whole trip. The more of you travel together, the less each pays.
A simple route plan for this package, with the starting point, transfers, stay and key experiences kept together for each day.
Day 1
Begin your India–Sikkim journey along the authorised entry route. Travel to Gangtok with time for hill-road delays and check-in. Keep the first evening on MG Marg or near your accommodation.
Day 2
Visit Tsomgo Lake, where mountain slopes frame the highland water.
Day 3
Visit Rumtek or Enchey for monastery courtyards and a quieter side of Gangtok. Add the Gangtok ropeway as a separately ticketed city experience. Keep the evening relaxed before changing towns.
Day 4
Check out and travel from Gangtok toward Darjeeling. The road winds through the hills before you settle into Darjeeling. After check-in, choose an easy Chowrasta walk.
Day 5
Begin early at Tiger Hill for the mountain setting at dawn. Visit Batasia Loop, then walk through the green rows of a tea estate. Keep the afternoon free for rest rather than another distant viewpoint.
Day 6
Add a Darjeeling Himalayan Railway joy ride to your day in town. Visit the Mountaineering Institute and zoo before returning to Darjeeling’s streets. Browse tea and local crafts at your own pace.
Day 7
Check out and descend to the agreed departure point. Allow road and immigration buffers before the onward journey to Dhaka.
Visa support
We can prepare the visa side of your international tour and keep your documents consistent with the route you are booking.
Visa decisions are made only by embassies and immigration authorities. We prepare and check your file before you submit it.
Optional choices: A separately ticketed railway ride, high-lake activity and estate visit; Lachung or Pelling belongs to a separate longer route.
Spring brings flowers to Sikkim’s hills; autumn offers cool air and a quieter rhythm for monasteries and town walks.
Warm layers, grip shoes, rain protection and documents for the authorised entry route.
Indian rupee INR. Keep a separate budget for personal spending and paid extras.
Travel requires a valid passport and the entry and transit permissions for the complete route. Bangladesh passport holders need the applicable Sikkim clearance in addition to an Indian visa, with separate protected-area authorisation for Tsomgo. The itinerary operates within the areas authorised for the group; Nathula, Baba Mandir and North Sikkim are outside this route. High-altitude roads, slopes and steps require suitable fitness, and snow or clear views are seasonal rather than fixed features.
Our representative will meet and welcome you at the agreed arrival point, then help you continue to your hotel or next transfer.
Confirming your holiday means you have read and accepted the cancellation terms.
Applicable taxes are included in the package price shown on this page unless a specific government or supplier charge is noted separately.
Step 1
Tell us your date and how many are travelling. It takes a minute.
Step 2
A consultant replies within 4 business hours with availability and the full price in BDT.
Step 3
Once you confirm, we book everything and our desk stays on call while you are away.
Every package can change to fit your dates, budget and group. The cancellation policy above covers the package; airline tickets and some hotels have their own rules, and we tell you those before you pay anything.
