Singapore visa requirements for Bangladeshi travellers.

Position and scope

Singapore / সিঙ্গাপুর; ISO SG; Southeast Asia; capital Singapore. Authority: Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA); local route: Singapore Consulate, Dhaka. Tourism sections of ST011 and ST013.

Visa category and eligibility

The Dhaka mission explicitly requires advance visas for ordinary Bangladesh passports. Diplomatic/official exemptions do not apply to this guide. Use its current authorised-agent list; the agency selling a holiday is not automatically an authorised visa agent. A US, UK or Schengen visa does not establish a Bangladesh entitlement under the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility. [SG01, SG04]

Entry conditions and supporting evidence

Passport validity must be at least six months on arrival. Short visitors should have sufficient funds and onward travel permission/tickets; ICA publishes no universal bank-balance figure here. Biometrics may be captured at immigration. Submit the free SG Arrival Card within three days including arrival day. The resident land-border exception does not exempt a Bangladeshi tourist arriving from Malaysia. Yellow-fever documentation is conditional on relevant recent travel/transit, not a universal Bangladesh-origin requirement. [SG02–SG03]

Document checklist

• Official mission requirement: Passport and bio-page copy; completed Form 14A; passport valid six months from arrival. [SG01]
• Official mission requirement: Recent colour photograph, taken within three months, meeting the mission’s background and face specifications. [SG01]
• Official social-visit requirement: Letter of Introduction from a local Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged at least 21. Use the correct purpose-specific LOI. [SG01, SG05]
• Entry requirement: SG Arrival Card and sufficient funds/onward travel evidence; health evidence only when the relevant travel-history condition applies. [SG02–SG03]
• Supporting or additional: Further employment, financial or relationship evidence when requested; no universal bank minimum or compulsory interview established.

Application procedure

• Select an agent from the Dhaka mission’s authorised list and obtain its current checklist and fee breakdown.
• Prepare Form 14A, passport copy, photo and suitable LOI; have the agent submit online and retain the reference.
• Respond to any further request. Track or ask about delay through that agent; collect the actual decision and check entries and dates.
• Submit SG Arrival Card in the three-day window; after arrival check the electronic Visit Pass expiry.

Official fees and processing

Dhaka publishes the BDT equivalent of SGD 30 per application, excluding the agent charge. Confirm the applicable conversion and itemised service fee before payment; refund terms were not verified. Its local processing standard is at least five working days excluding submission day, with longer handling possible. Do not substitute a generic ICA three-day estimate for this Dhaka route. [SG01]

Validity stay and entry limits

A valid visa permits travel to seek entry; it does not grant a fixed stay. Read the electronic Visit Pass after admission and leave or obtain an approved extension by its expiry. A multiple-journey request may receive single or double entry instead. Short-term visit permission does not authorise employment. [SG03, SG05]

Transit and multi-country travel

Bangladesh is absent from ICA’s VFTF eligibility groups. Airside transit without entering Singapore is a separate arrangement; obtain carrier confirmation of transfer facilities, boarding passes and baggage. Separate tickets, bag collection or leaving the transit area may require a Singapore entry visa and SG Arrival Card. A Singapore holiday or Malaysia–Singapore coach stage is entry, not airside transit. Check Malaysia and Thailand separately for ST011/ST013. [SG02, SG04]

Documentation errors and refusal risks

General risks include a purpose-inconsistent LOI, wrong passport details and dates, and assuming that payment guarantees approval. The mission FAQ says refusal reasons are not disclosed and appeals go through the authorised agent on their merits. Do not invent an approval percentage. [SG05]

Practical preparation

Check the mission’s current agent list, keep the receipt/reference and use ICA for the free arrival card. Carry the actual hotel address, onward plans and visa copy. Verify every intended border crossing and the number of visa entries before paying for a route that returns to Malaysia or Singapore.

Verification limits

Limit: Agent charge, applicant outcome and stay are not fixed by this page.

Limit: Eligibility for other nationalities must not be transferred to Bangladesh passports.

Applicant-specific checks remain: agent service fee/refund terms, any additional evidence, visa entries actually issued and the Visit Pass duration. No fixed thirty-day stay or guaranteed five-day decision is promised. Recheck ICA and the Dhaka mission before application and departure.
