Japan in autumn: Kyoto maples and Tokyo for first-timers
When the leaves usually turn, which Kyoto temples to see, Tokyo areas to stay in, the bullet train, IC cards and the etiquette worth knowing.
Explore Kyoto’s temples and Arashiyama, then continue by rail to Tokyo for neighbourhood walks and one flexible city day. Give Kyoto and Tokyo their own time, with temple mornings, riverside walks and an unhurried rail connection between the cities. Begin with shrine paths, temple gardens and a riverside walk in Kyoto, then take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Tokyo for Asakusa, Meiji Jingu and Shibuya. Enjoy the open day with art, museums or shopping. Arrival day leaves time to settle in, and the final day focuses on the airport journey.
Starting fromBDT 285,000Per person

A simple route plan for this package, with the starting point, transfers, stay and key experiences kept together for each day.
Day 1
Arrive through the airport named in your confirmed flight itinerary; Kyoto has no commercial airport. Continue to Kyoto by an agreed rail or road connection and allow time for check-in. Keep the first evening gentle with a walk on public streets around Gion.
Day 2
Start with Fushimi Inari and choose a walking distance suited to your fitness. Take a lunch break before crossing the city. Visit the golden Kinkaku-ji, then walk through the stone garden of nearby Ryoan-ji. Return without adding another distant attraction.
Day 3
Browse Nishiki Market and respect photography signs at individual stalls. Add a tea ceremony for an introduction to the quiet gestures and flavours of Japanese tea culture. Explore Arashiyama’s tall bamboo paths and riverside; add a boat ride for a view from the water. Choose dinner near your accommodation rather than another cross-city journey.
Day 4
Check out and travel from Kyoto to Tokyo on the Tokaido Shinkansen. After dropping bags, explore Asakusa and Senso-ji, with its great lantern and lively approach street. Choose your own evening meal and allow time to rest.
Day 5
Visit Meiji Jingu and nearby Harajuku on the same morning. Take a break around Shibuya and use pedestrian crossings considerately. Spend time at an observation deck or exploring another neighbourhood; Tokyo Skytree is a separately ticketed city experience. Leave the evening open rather than crossing Tokyo repeatedly.
Day 6
Enjoy Tokyo’s digital-art scene or the museums and leafy park around Ueno during your independent city day. Allow a meal break and travel time between venues. Keep shopping close to the chosen area; Hakone is a separate full-day option, not an extra stop. Pack for tomorrow’s airport transfer.
Day 7
Check out according to the confirmed hotel's policy. Your airport transfer takes you to the terminal named on your ticket. Return to Dhaka on your flight routing.
Visa support
We can prepare the visa side of your international tour and keep your documents consistent with the route you are booking.
Visa decisions are made only by embassies and immigration authorities. We prepare and check your file before you submit it.
Optional choices: Tea ceremony, paid observation decks, digital-art admission and a separate full-day Hakone excursion. Hakone fills the free day as a separately paid full-day excursion.
Autumn brings red and gold to Kyoto’s temple gardens and cooler evenings to Tokyo. Bring layers for cooler mornings and evenings.
Comfortable walking shoes, light layers, a compact rain jacket, passport and booking copies, necessary medicines and a practical day bag. Keep luggage manageable for station stairs and transfers.
Japanese yen JPY. Keep a separate budget for personal spending and paid extras.
Travel requires a valid passport and the entry and transit permissions for the complete route. Foliage timing varies with temperature and elevation. Temple paths and major stations include stairs and substantial walking. Photography restrictions protect Gion’s private lanes and residents.
