Boga Lake and Keokradong trek: what to know before you go
Fitness, registration and guides, the route via Ruma, a night in a Bawm village, leeches and rain, and why access to this Bandarban trek can close.
A three-day hill trek linking Boga Lake with a Keokradong ascent. This active three-day route uses Boga Lake as the overnight base and gives the Keokradong trek a full day. The experience combines a local guide, hill transport and basic accommodation at the lake.

A simple route plan for this package, with the starting point, transfers, stay and key experiences kept together for each day.
Day 1
Travel to Bandarban and toward Ruma only on the locally authorised route. Meet your local guide for the route briefing and registration. Use the day’s approved vehicle-and-walk combination to Boga Lake. Settle into the basic accommodation at the Boga Lake base.
Day 2
Start early with your local guide for the Keokradong trek. Carry sufficient safe drinking water and food, take breaks and follow the daylight turnaround limit. Return to the Boga Lake base for your second night.
Day 3
Descend on the approved route with a safe buffer, then use arranged onward transport. Complete the descent before continuing with the onward road journey.
Optional choices: An extra trekking or rest night, a summit-area overnight variation, porter service and personal equipment, each at extra cost.
Drier hill days bring clear trail textures, cool evenings at the lake and a steady rhythm of walking and rest.
Grip trekking shoes, light backpack, rain protection, warm layer for cooler evenings, torch, power bank, ID copies, sufficient safe drinking water and personal medicines.
Bangladeshi taka BDT. Keep a separate budget for personal spending and paid extras.
The Ruma route, registration and overnight base require current local permission and a competent guide. The guide carries emergency equipment and communications. The trek involves steep remote terrain and basic accommodation, without step-free access. Rain, landslide risk, unsafe water, daylight and the group’s condition determine the guide’s turnaround or postponement decision.
Our representative will meet and welcome you at the agreed arrival point, then help you continue to your hotel or next transfer.
